We are looking for all prayer warriors to help us in Honduras. We are trying to put together a 24-hr prayer vigil for the mission team while we are serving. The vigil starts on July 4th and end when we return 8 days later. Our goal is to have someone praying for the team every minute of every hour that we are gone.
If you would like to help out the chart is posted in the church or just email me with the times(s) you would like.
In Him,
Kevin

I'm sitting here at 8:00 AM on July 4th and have been thinking about our team a lot already this morning. I was sharing with Angie and Taylor last night how special last Sunday's service was (they were at a softball tournament). I thought of how powerful it was to consider that this trip is not just affecting Salem, and not just affecting the community in Honduras, but the universal impact that a trip like this can have. I was thinking about how special it has been for our church to come together for this trip. It's not just about the 15 individuals who are going on this trip, this can be a church-altering event. Life just seems to get harder and more complicated the longer I live it, but God's love and what He calls us to do is simple. While God is all-powerful He doesn't expect us to be - He just wants us to love each other. I am so happy that the 15 of you on this trip have chosen to take God's love from our little country church to people thousands of miles away to people you've never met. While you are choosing to do this today in another country, I hope that I can find ways to do this everyday, just with the people who surround me.
You probably won't see this until later in the week when you finally access the blog, but please know you're in our thoughts. I don't know if "proud" is the right word to use, but I am so thankful to be associated with folks like the 15 of you on this trip who have chosen to make this sacrifice. As we celebrate our 4th of July I know there are many who will join me in praying for you, for you to be kept safe, for your ministry to touch lives in Honduras, for you to return to us safely, and even more than that, for you to return to Salem a little different than when you left with the ability to help change us and our ministry for the better!
God Bless you.
